Jimmy Shafe
President/Owner
Started company in 1973
Jimmy's primary responsibilities include overall guidance and direction of the company; creation and delivery of custom training packages; marketing and project management of corporate initiatives; and instruction and speaking at numerous training events and conferences. Some of his accomplishments include: leading the project team in the creation of Career Direction, an outreach package that has been presented to over 5 million high school students nationwide; and primary creator of the TEAM leadership training initiative for more than 200,000 Army National Guard leaders.
Matthew Morgan
Vice President, Operations
Joined CTC in 1994
Matthew has been employed for his entire professional career at CTC, where his creativity and analytical skills have been integral factors in CTC's growth and success. Matthew has oversight of all company operations, ensuring all departments are working seamlessly to deliver outstanding service to internal and external customers, including our 200+ offsite employees. He is responsible for the development and management of CTC's multiple Web sites, and, as part of the CTC management team, he is heavily involved in new business development and strategic planning.
Dave Otto
Program Manager
Joined CTC in 1999
Dave has worked for CTC for over ten years providing a variety of training programs and consulting services to public and private organizations. In addition, he serves on CTC's Corporate Leadership Team. He is the Program Manager for the EL Program and he provides day-to-day corporate oversight of this contract. Dave is a Vietnam veteran and retired from the GA Army National Guard as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel and Administration. He also has extensive experience in training and continuous quality improvement.
Kathleen Magbee-Brown
HR Director
Joined CTC in 2004
Kathleen began at CTC when it was a smaller team and was instrumental in the growth of our personnel services division. In the process of that growth, she created an HR department that is committed to exceptional customer - and team member - support. As a member of the management team, Kathleen is involved in strategic planning and policy development.
Lennon Richards
Controller
Joined CTC in 2010
Lennon brings a wealth of business experience to CTC, having worked at companies in various industries ranging from start-up to world leader. A 20-year veteran in the areas of finance and accounting, he believes fiscal discipline and active process management and improvement are essential to the success of any business. Lennon is committed not only to the accuracy and reliability of our financial records, but also to maintaining healthy relationships with our financial partners and customers.
Janet King
Educational Programs Director
Joined CTC in 2001
Janet uses her writing, editing, and people skills, as well as her psychology background, to provide exceptional management of CTC's educational programs. As a subject matter expert, she has written two articles on career guidance for the American Counselors Association Magazine. Janet works with National Guard Representatives, educators, and education liaisons because her heart is in helping students make good choices for their futures.
Henry Bernreuter
Program Manager - RSP
Joined CTC in 2006
As a retired Army National Guard Colonel, Henry's vast experience and superior management skills have made him a valuable member of CTC as the RRAC III Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) Manager. In this capacity, Henry and his team help ensure that the young Warriors from the southeast are better prepared to enter the National Guard.
Deb Storm
Office Manager
Joined CTC in 2006
Deb has been part of the CTC family for over five years and serves as the executive secretary to Jimmy Shafe and Matthew Morgan. Deb is also the sales manager for CTC's counselor examination study publications. Her eight years of experience with the South Dakota Army National Guard provided her with a great background for serving our military customers.
Art Bruno
Security Officer
Joined CTC in 2003
Art has been employed with CTC since his retirement from the National Guard and Civil Service Program. His knowledge, skills and abilities working with the National Guard has been instrumental in the performance of his duties as TEAM Mobilization Project Officer and Logistics Officer. Currently, Art is performing duties as the corporate Facility Security Officer responsible for all Personnel Security Clearance and Facility Security issues.
Sandi Zimmerman
Contracts Specialist
Joined CTC in 2005
Sandi was employed by the GA National Guard for 27 years and retired as the Supervisory Contract Specialist (SPS). She is responsible for all contracting support and liaison with government contracting offices. Sandi's knowledge of solicitation requirements and expertise in writing proposals resulting in contract awards has contributed significantly to CTC's growth.
Amy Shafe
Finance Assistant
Joined CTC in 1996
Amy joined the CTC team a few months prior to marrying into the family! She and Jimmy's son, Chug, have been married since 1997 and have two great kids. Over the years with CTC, her role has evolved in supporting the company's operations. Amy's most current responsibility includes management of accounts receivable and payable.
Jan Smith
HR Assistant
Joined CTC in 2006
Jan has over 12 years of Human Resources experience. Her background brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the company which lends itself to aiding new hire transitions. Her technical education gives CTC the edge it needs to be a continued leader in the industry.
Pang Lo
Finance Assistant / Shipping & Receiving
Joined CTC in 2005
Pang has multiple roles supporting CTC, including management of all shipping and receiving, and employee travel reimbursement processing. She definitely loves her job and the people she works with, near or far. She is proud to have been married for 10+ years and has 3 wonderful boys.
